It's Like Nerd Nirvana!

I am in the midst of a (for me) very busy work stretch... 12 days of work in 15 days and counting, so I'm afraid the ol' blog has suffered a bit from neglect! I will attempt to make up for it a bit - in part by stuffing this mutha with videos!

Can You Imagine Your Father Wearing This?

I was flipping through my junk mail the other day, when I ran across this ad:

While I appreciate the functionality of this particular piece of apparel, I cannot for the life of me imagine who would be caught dead wearing it! My father is 73 years old, and would not be caught dead flashing an AARP card - let alone be caught wearing a hat that read "Don't forget my SENIOR DISCOUNT!

Maybe I need to be spending more time down in South Florida. Or maybe I should buy up a bunch of these for my friends who are turning 50... You all know who you are!

I'm Going To Miss Remembering "The Lion King"

My wife and I went to the World Premiere of "The Lion King" at the Uptown theater in Washington back in 1994. I was a reporter at WMAL at the time, and a friend of mine at Disney got us the invitation. It was quite the affair... Vice President Al Gore was there, and so was Disney Chairman Michael Eisner and Walt Disney Pictures President Jeffrey Katzenberg, among others. After the movie, there was a gala reception at the National Zoo. Disney rented out the place, and served up a feast right next to the Lion's Den at the Zoo.

It's too bad I'm going to forget it all in short order. It seems Disney is putting the film - and all memories of it - back in the vault!

I Haven't Got Time For The Pain!

Where has December gone? Just in the past few days, I have come to the realization - especially since I'm working through the holidays for the first time in forever - that I don't have time to do everything I need to get done! Therefore, my faithful readers, you may find more video content than written content in the coming days... I hope you will enjoy this little holiday video festival.
